How to get your First Provisional Driving Licence:

Go to:

https://www.gov.uk/apply-first-provisional-driving-licence

To apply you must be:

• At least 15 years and 9 months

• Be able to read a number plate from at least 20 metres away

• Have been given permission to live in Great Britain for at least 185 days

Replacing a Lost, Stolen, Damaged or Destroyed Licence:

Go to:

https://www.gov.uk/apply-online-to-replace-a-driving-licence

To replace your licence you must:

• Be a resident of Great Britain

• Not be disqualified from driving for any reason

• Pay £20 by Mastercard, Visa, Electron or Delta debit or credit card

• Provide your addresses over the past 3 years

• Provide your licence number, National Insurance number, and passport number (if you know them)

How to create a code to check your licence details online:

Go to:

www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence

You will need your:

• National Insurance Number

• Driving Licence Number

• Postcode.

How to check someone else's licence details online:

Go to:

www.gov.uk/check-driving-information

You will need:

• The last 8 digits of the driving licence

• The code they generated using the above link (this code can only be used once and is valid for 15 days)
